Driftwood, 472 at St Jame’s Club, Mamora Bay, Antigua was the original show house when the complex was first built, some 28 years ago.
The villa is situated in a world renowned resort, being a secure gated community which has earned a fine reputation for itself, certainly one of the very best in Antigua, so rather than detail or describe it’s many facilities, we can do little better than direct you to the St. James website stjamesclubantigua.com where you can learn of the six swimming pools, five restaurants, water sports, tennis, gym etc, all of which are free to Driftwood guests, and you can read the many complimentary guest reviews made over the years.
Driftwood has the rare advantage of being all on one floor, so no steps apart from those to the beach. Air conditioned throughout, it is one of only two beachfront villas, with three bedrooms each with en- suite bathrooms. As new owners we have extensively renovated and refurbished the property in 2024, and like to think Driftwood now offers the very best in comfortable tropical living, perfect for families of all ages.
In particular a new spacious kitchen has been fitted with corian worktops, American style fridge with icemaker, dishwasher, Bosch eye level oven, microwave oven, Bosch induction hob and warming drawer. The bar area has a beer froster and there are two safes. Free wi-fi available, televisions throughout.
Just steps away from the gently sloping manicured white sand beach and warm sparkling calm sea, Driftwood is conveniently and quietly situated at the end of the Village complex, with its own patio garden, just several minutes walk from the main Hotel.
Driftwood is unique in that it offers total flexibility, privacy, seclusion and a pretty little garden, having a spacious main 2 bedroom villa with a large patio with gas BBQ, and the benefit of a separate additional completely self contained and self sufficient one bedroom annexe, with its own separate entrance, ideal for grandparents or teenage children, [occasionally available as a separate unit, please enquire] with mini kitchen and separate secluded courtyard garden with an additional compact gas BBQ, ideally suited for a couple with perhaps a young child. The master bedroom has a king size double bed and the other two bedrooms also have king size, which can be separated into two twins if preferred. Bedroom one and three have large patio doors leading out onto the terrace.
The rental includes maid service once weekly, sheets are changed weekly- personal laundry service is available through the hotel at the guest’s expense.
St Jame’s Club is a well established hotel and private villa resort. Guests have the free use of the resort’s sailing boats, paddle boards and kayaks with the guidance of the water sports team as well as the full use of the Club’s other facilities such as gym, beauty spa, tennis, children’s 4 to 12 club etc.
Guests also have the option at extra cost, to avail themselves of the hotel’s all inclusive food and drinks package which includes three meals a day in any of the restaurants, all drinks and snacks at the beachside and poolside bars and the drinks buggy which often travels up and down the beach offering you the drink of your choice.
Alternatively, if you choose not to opt for the all inclusive plan, you can charge drinks, meals etc to your account as you go.
